My Weekend Enote

Hello Everyone:

Kind of a soggy, damp and cold weekend but I’m told to expect sunshine and 70 by Sunday.  I have six brief items to highlight for you and the sixth is a pretty cool announcement.

First, what a fun and fruitful Sunday we had together last Sunday for our Bring A Friend Day.  We had over 2600 folks with us and we gave away over 150 copies of THE STORY.  And that leads me to say …

Second, we kick off THE STORY this Sunday and I believe it will be a life-shaping journey together.  For 31 weeks we will walk though the major stories and characters of the Bible.  I hope you will pick up a copy of THE STORY if you don’t already have one.  It’s an incredible resource that will help you walk through the entire story of Scripture.

Third, our special cash table will be set up again this Sunday in the gathering hall so you can purchase a copy of THE STORY for $5 (cash or check only). The First Colony Bookstore will also be open for credit/debit card sales.  Well over 1,000 copies of THE STORY are circulating through the hands of FCCC attendees.

Fourth, It’s not too late to join a Connection Group for THE STORY! You can learn about group options and sign up at the Connection Group Central booth (right outside the worship center).  Ryan Bien will personally be at Connection Group Central after both services this Sunday ready to help.

Fifth, our next New Member Info Session is next Sunday, February 16 at 9:45am in F100.  Shane Gage and I will be there and I hope to see many of you.

Last of all, I’m so pleased to announce that best-selling Christian artist Matthew West will be with us in concert on Sunday night, March 23 at 6:00pm.  Tickets for this concert will sell quickly and they will go on sale at noon Sunday.  You may purchase tickets through our website.  For those of you who may not know Matthew West, here’s a simple introduction:  he won the 2013 American Music Award for Best Contemporary Inspirational Artist and among his multiple number one hits is “Hello, My Name Is” which held the No. 1 position for a record-breaking 17 consecutive weeks on the Billboard Christian Songs chart.  Pretty amazing.  He’s a class guy and a top-notch musician. Get your tickets quickly!

Be Strong & Courageous,

Ronnie
