2011 Christmas CD is Done

December 11, 2011 — 1 Comment

Every year Martha (TLMN) and I compile a Christmas CD for the family and my co-workers.  Martha purchases the blank CD’s, cases, & labels and then she designs the label covers each year. This year’s label cover is a photo Martha took while on a recent tour of European Christmas Markets — it’s from Regensburg, Germany.

As for the tunes themselves, I do most, not all, but most of the music selecting and it’s quite eclectic (a.k.a. inconsistent).  But every tune has Martha’s thumbs-up (not always an enthusiastic thumbs up).

We pretty much have Christmas music playing non-stop around our house once the day after Thanksgiving arrives.  We have a lot of fun compiling our annual Christmas CD and the kids usually humor me (“Dad, we can’t wait for this year’s Christmas CD!”) while I know that what they’re probably saying when I’m not around is something like this:  “Dad’s such a dweeber with his Christmas CD but, hey, we love him so let’s indulge the guy.”

At any rate, here’s the playlist for this year’s Christmas CD:

  1. Santa Medley – The Jersey Boys
  2. Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas – Colbie Coillat
  3. It’s Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas – Michael Buble’
  4. Christmas Must Be Something More – Taylor Swift
  5. White Christmas – Vanessa Peters
  6. Christmas This Year – tobyMac
  7. The First Noel – David Crowder Band
  8. Little Drummer Boy/Peace on Earth – Brian Roberts (Bing/Bowie style)
  9. Joy to the World – Chris Tomlin
  10. Angels We Have Heard – Josh Groban
  11. Carol of the Bells – Straight No Chaser
